HTJ HAS BEEN CHOSEN AS A PROJECT MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT FOR TAPIOLA FOOTBALL STADIUM

FC Honka/Pallohonka Ltd and Rakennuttajatoimisto HTJ Ltd have signed a letter of intent for the project management and site supervision of the new football stadium to be built in Tapiola, Espoo. The project will be executed in Tapiola Sport Park, which has been developed together with the partners of this project and the City of Espoo. This Stadium is a vital part of a major development plan in which this area together with Joutsenpuisto subway station area will be developed as an international sport and activity park. The project includes the football ARENA itself, stands, boxes, closable roofing, various functional areas, offices, restaurants and retail spaces.

One of the project goals is to take into consideration environmental values. The project will be executed so that life cycle effects, such as carbon footprint will be minimized. The building will utilize ground heat and recyclable materials and it’s life cycle costs will be evaluated onecological basis.

Construction works will start in Spring 2010. 

PÄIVI AHLROOS NOMINATED AS INFRA DIRECTOR

Licentiate in Technology, Ms. Päivi Ahlroos has been nominated starting on 01.12.2009 as HTJ’s infra director. She will also be responsible for company’s RD sector.  Päivi has formerly been a RD Manager of the City of Helsinki, where she was responsible for strategic management and development. Road technology, foundation works and soil mechanics are Päivi Ahlroos’s special skills in practical construction.

“I’m very satisfied to get Päivi in our team. I believe a development minded person like her, will strengthen our infra activities. She will also be a new resource for our development projects. With this HTJ will take a significant step in developing our infra business and for upcoming challenge Managing Director Martti Reijonen says.

OTHER APPOINTEMENTS

Master Builder, Mr. Eero Ahponen has been appointed as a Site Supervisor starting 01.11.2009. Formerly he has been HTJ’s regular sub-consultant.

Master Builder, Mr. Kimmo Hirvonen has been appointed as a Site Manager/Site Supervisor for our Construction Management projects. He will manage the Emergency Response Center renovation project.

Master Builder, Mr. Martti Rikkonen has been appointed as a Site Manager/Site Supervisor for our Construction Management projects. He is managing the office project for Kallioinen Corp.

NEW PROJECTS

BG-Retail Properties Ltd. has ordered from HTJ the Project Management and Site Supervision for their new central warehouse in Hyvinkää. This project in the near vicinity of Hämeenlinna Highway is abt. 12 000 m2 in the first stage. Design is already started and construction will commence early 2010 and will be completed in the end of the same year. Broman Group Ltd. has been founded in 1965, their business has been mainly car spare part and accessory sale along with home accessory and leisure product sale. The company is operating thru AD Varaosamaailma and Motonet dealerships around Finland.

MATTI HEINO HAS BEEN NOMINATED AS MEMBER OF THE INFRA EXECUTIVE GROUP OF RAKLI - THE FINNISH ASSOCIATION OF BUILDING OWNERS AND CONSTRUCTION CLIENTS

Rakli’s board of directors has nominated HTJ’s Project Director, Mr. Matti Heino as member of the Infra executive group for the years 2010-2011. Mr Heino was already the member of the same group during the previous period and is now continuing. He is dedicating his long and wide experience for Rakli’s use.

SHOPPING CENTER AKSELI HAS BEEN OPENED IN MIKKELI

This new shopping center has been opened just next to Mikkeli’s market square and it has been named “Akseli”. The project was about 8 000 m2. The shopping canters consist of two separate premises, which have separate owners. The construction works started early autumn 2008 and now the center has been opened after a full renovation. HTJ’s Chief of Department, Mr. Jukka Timonen has been the representative and project management consultant of Länsi-Savo Ltd., the other one of the owners.

THE DEMANDING PLUMBING RENOVATION OF THE HOUSING CO-OP LUOTSIKATU 13 HAS STARTED

This plumbing renovation project, located in Katajanokka, Helsinki, has been started. All washing rooms of every apartment will be renewed at the same time. The building was originally built in 1903 and it consists of 36 apartments, sizes varying from 30 m2 to 200 m2. This project is very demanding for many reasons.  All apartments are used by their owners during the project and over the decades there has been numerous variations and changes, this meaning that plumbing installations vary from floor to floor. Old wooden floor structures add another difficulty for the project.  

CITY OF KERAVA'S VIERTOLA SQUARE MANAGED BY HTJ WAS REWARDED

The Kerava Viertola Square managed by HTJ won the Environment Project of the Year -award for year 2009. The award is yearly granted by the Garden Association and Confederation of Finnish Construction Industries RT. The Environment Project of the Year -award is been granted for high quality and versatile environmental design and construction. The client of the project was the City of Kerava. In the project HTJ was responsible Project Management and Site Supervision. The design was done by WSP Finland Ltd. The bridge contractor was Infratyö Ltd., street and landscape contractor was Kivinikkarit Ltd. and lighting and traffic light contractor was Suomen Energia-urakointi Ltd. The award was received by HTJ´s Chief of Department. Mr. Jouko Rokkonen and Project Manger, Mr Matti Heino.

HTJ WAS AWARDED AN INTERNATIONALLY KNOWN FINANCIAL QUALITY SERTIFICATE

Dun & Bradstreet/Soliditet Finland has granted HTJ the highest class in the Rating classification AAA, i.e. a certificate for a well managed company. The highest AAA classification points out, that we are a trustworthy and safe partner.
